Alpha UMi LLC, Developer of the 5G product, is a forward thinking firm that turns the challenges of the next generation workplace into opportunities.
Our core beliefs and values are driven by our commitment to give back to our community.
We live by the age-old golden rule that you should treat others the way you wish to be treated. It’s a guide for living, a tool for decision making, a moral code. We also like to add into the mix...Is it fun? We are a company that also believes in having fun while we work.
That being said, here are some of our core values that will give a bigger picture of how we work.
Leading through passion & example
Carrie, founder of Alpha UMi, spearheads company vision and product development with her unique ability to see challenges as opportunities. She uses her systems engineering expertise to lead the team in developing solutions that are "agile" in structure, yet "human" in content and delivery.
Before devoting her attentions to Alpha UMi, Carrie worked first in industry for several companies including IBM and MITRE, and for the past 20+ years as a consultant providing expertise in systems engineering, underwater acoustics, program management, and systems acquisition. Her clients included the US Navy, NASA and NOAA.
In addition to solving complex problems, Carrie enjoys backpacking, gourmet dining and cooking, and TWD. BTW, she is a huge Lyle Lovett fan!
Robin is not only our company cheerleader, she provides the voice of reason and direction that links the educational, employment and economic impact of our product to successful outcomes for our customers.
A 30+ year educator within the Pinellas County School system, graduate of Florida State University M.S. Robin has specialized in Exceptional Education, implementing processes, and programs instituted by policy, procedures and state statutes.
Robin’s passion for people and her love for facilitating discussions makes her a valuable mentor and facilitator. She is a die-hard Florida State fan and "cheer-leads" for them too! Go Noles!
Jean is the captain of the Alpha UMi product development team. She applies creativity and wit to engage our intended adult learning audience. She also works with local and state college institutions and partners to introduce 5G certificate training programs using our proprietary curriculum.
After a decade working as the third generation of stock brokers in her family, Jean followed her passion for teaching into the professional world. She facilitated training for hundreds of potential stock brokers in the United States and in Europe. Jean went on to earn a Master's degrees in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. She has recently served as president of her Rotary Club.
Anything fun in the sun is how Jean spends her spare time... kayaking, hiking, SUP and boating. She also has a green thumb and enjoys propagating fruit trees to share with friends and family.
